S.T.R.E.A.M.S Mentoring is a (6) month program that will take place every 1st, 3rd, & 5th Saturday (9am - 11am PST) January through June (2021).

The program is 100% absolutely free!

We understand that life is busy. Although we would like for Mentees to attend all sessions, the expectation is that your youth will commit to attending 90% or more of the workshops. Missing 1-2 workshops is okay, however we do require a commitment to the program as a whole. If Mentee is unable to attend a session (even if it is the first session), please let the coordinator know.

The recommended age range for program participants is 11-14 years of age.

No. As long as youth is interested and committed to the program, we would love to have them.

The S.T.R.E.A.M.S. Mentor Program is designed to help Black/African American middle school young men build and reinforce the skills needed to provide a positive mentoring experience. Mentees will learn and develop real-world transferrable skills through the S.T.R.E.A.M.S. core competencies: Speech, Teamwork, Relationships, Etiquette, Accountability, Money, Service.

By agreeing to your child/minor attending the S.T.R.E.A.M.S. Mentoring Program, you (Parent/Guardian) agree to the privacy policies of Concerned Black Men of America and Educating Young Minds as well as the unassociated remote hosting service. Some personal information, such as name, image, and any shared messages may be shared with other meeting participants. Your child/minor remote attendance hereby discharges Concerned Black Men of America and Educating Young Minds from all claims, demands, rights, promises, damages and liabilities arising out of or in connection with the use or distribution, including but not limited to any claims of invasion of privacy, appropriation of likeness or defamation.
